1:7Sothatyeebehindinnogift;waitingfortheingofourLordJesusChrist:

1:8Whoshallalsoconfirmyouuntotheend，thatyemaybeblamelessinthedayofourLordJesusChrist.

1:10NowIbeseechyou，brethren，bythenameofourLordJesusChrist，thatyeallspeakthesamething，andthattherebenodivisionsamongyou;butthatyebeperfectlyjoinedtogetherinthesamemindandinthesamejudgment.

1:11Forithathbeendeclareduntomeofyou，mybrethren，bythemwhichareofthehouseofChloe，thattherearecontentionsamongyou.

1:12NowthisIsay，thateveryoneofyousaith，IamofPaul;andIofApollos;andIofCephas;andIofChrist.

1:20Whereisthewise?whereisthescribe?whereisthedisputerofthisworld?hathnotGodmadefoolishthewisdomofthisworld?

1:21ForafterthatinthewisdomofGodtheworldbywisdomknewnotGod，itpleasedGodbythefoolishnessofpreachingtosavethemthatbelieve.

1:22FortheJewsrequireasign，andtheGreeksseekafterwisdom:

1:23ButwepreachChristcrucified，untotheJewsastumblingblock，anduntotheGreeksfoolishness;

1:24Butuntothemwhicharecalled，bothJewsandGreeks，ChristthepowerofGod，andthewisdomofGod.

1:25BecausethefoolishnessofGodiswiserthanmen;andtheweaknessofGodisstrongerthanmen.

1:26Foryeseeyourcalling，brethren，howthatnotmanywisemenaftertheflesh，notmanymighty，notmanynoble，arecalled:

1:27ButGodhathchosenthefoolishthingsoftheworldtoconfoundthewise;andGodhathchosentheweakthingsoftheworldtoconfoundthethingswhicharemighty;

1:28Andbasethingsoftheworld，andthingswhicharedespised，hathGodchosen，yea，andthingswhicharenot，tobringtonoughtthingsthatare:

1:29Thatnofleshshouldgloryinhispresence.

1:30ButofhimareyeinChristJesus，whoofGodismadeuntouswisdom，andrighteousness，andsanctification，andredemption:

1:31That，accordingasitiswritten，Hethatglorieth，lethimgloryintheLord.

2:1AndI，brethren，whenIcametoyou，camenotwithexcellencyofspeechorofwisdom，declaringuntoyouthetestimonyofGod.

2:2ForIdeterminednottoknowanythingamongyou，saveJesusChrist，andhimcrucified.

2:3AndIwaswithyouinweakness，andinfear，andinmuchtrembling.

2:4Andmyspeechandmypreachingwasnotwithenticingwordsofmanswisdom，butindemonstrationoftheSpiritandofpower:

2:5Thatyourfaithshouldnotstandinthewisdomofmen，butinthepowerofGod.

2:6Howbeitwespeakwisdomamongthemthatareperfect:yetnotthewisdomofthisworld，noroftheprincesofthisworld，thatetonought:

2:7ButwespeakthewisdomofGodinamystery，eventhehiddenwisdom，whichGodordainedbeforetheworlduntoourglory:
